Religion Debates

This month I had the opportunity to be a guest at Kettlebrook’s youth groups, Ignite and Torch. They were debating three different religions – Muslim, Hinduism, and Mormonism (Latter Day Saints). I was asked to represented Mormonism, there were two other Christian guests representing Muslim and Hinduism. After trying to convince the students that “our” religion was the right one, we were given the chance to present truths that these beliefs are not in line with Scripture. Much to our surprise, the students showed the most interest in Mormonism. It was a thought-provoking evening that was designed to help these teens strengthen their faith in true Christianity.

New content is being published. The ten-part series on the Basics of Christian Living is complete and the first two parts of Evidence for the Exodus are available. Many subscribers and followers enjoyed the series on the different Bible translations. Charlotte is designing the layout for a reference booklet I wrote that will include the information presented in this series. She is getting very close to finishing. We will let you know when and where it is available for purchase. Because of the new content published in January we added 304 subscribers to YouTube, went from 120 daily average views to 600, had 209 unique listeners to the podcasts and 406 episodes downloaded. The best performing videos are anything to do with archaeology. The top two podcast series are Basics of Apologetics and Keep the Fires Burning, which too will be in book form for purchase soon.

Upcoming events

• Living Stones Fellowship – This Sunday, February 4^th, I will be speaking at the morning service. Service time is 10 am, the address is 1377 Okray Dr in Stevens Point. If you are in the area, come on over.
• 2024 Marine Biology Program – The dates are March 28-April 6. We have accepted 19 applicants and have room for 6 more. Adults are welcome, we have 5 already signed up. Registration ends February 28^th, so it’s crunch time! If you know anyone who might be interested in this amazing adventure, please share!!
• 2025 Israel Trip – The itinerary has been updated, dates will be January 8-20, and final details are being secured. At this time, we are planning to go ahead with this trip. Emmaus Journeys is working on updating their website to advertise it. If you are interested, go to the website, and put your name on the waiting list so you can be notified of when registration opens. (Which should be very soon!)

Pray with boldness

On January 22^nd I had steroid injections in my neck. The pain, numbness, and discomfort in my arm is gone! The pain in my neck is still very minimal. Pray that the effects of these injections will be long lasting! We have a second lead on a possible vehicle for ourministry, neither one has been confirmed yet. Pray that we hear something soon. We have another vehicle need for our Marine Biology trip. We are looking to borrow/rent a vehicle to tow a trailer full of food and supplies to the Florida Keys. If you know of one, please contact us. God expects us to pray boldly and ask for things only He can do. We have been praying for 25 students so we can have a full trip this year for Marine Bio, we currently have 19 (Just got 3 more this past week.). It would definitely be a God-thing to get six more students by the end of the month. Please pray with us!!
