Examine the scriptures

There is a Biblical Creation Group that has been meeting monthly at Kewaskum House of Prayer for over three years. They discuss creationism vs evolution and anything else pertaining to creationism. I was invited to be a guest speaker and I wondered if I could teach them anything they had not already heard. We looked at questions like – “Does it matter if Genesis is poetic or literal?” and “What are the spiritual ramifications of theistic evolution and literal creationism?”. Afterwards I was told that I succeeded in teaching them something new! Denise and I traveled to Fort Wilderness for three days so I could teach the students in the first session of Leadership LAB (a 3-week program guiding teens to a deeper level of faith). I taught three lessons. The first one was on the importance of studying vs reading your Bible and methods on doing so. The second one was on the reliability of the Bible and archaeological evidence to support it. They chose the third one on how dinosaurs fit with the Bible. They questioned why they had never heard this before and wished I could stay to teach more. Denise made treats for each class like she always has in the past. We also had the opportunity to visit with staff and campers.

We took a five-day trip with Amanda and her family to Tennessee for a Mustang Makeover. We have done so many of these events with Michaela and Amanda in the past; it was fun to do it again. The last Sunday in June we tried something new. A small church in Pennsylvania has been watching our videos on the Exodus. They contacted us to see if I could speak for one of their Sunday services and then be available to answer questions. Instead of travelling all that way, we did a live stream. They had some good questions, and it went very well.

Our new book, Keep the Fires Burning, is still on track to be published and available by the end of July. Charlotte is working on the finishing touches. It is written as a Bible study. It covers 20 minor biblical characters and what lessons they can teach us about our walk with God. There will be a new Creation Clues available soon featuring my granddaughter, Cora about meristems and new growth. The website has been redesigned! Upcoming events & adventures

• Genesis Days – Part 2 at Kewaskum House of Prayer, July 8^th, 6:30 pm
• July 19-21 – Speaking for LAB 2 at Fort Wilderness
• 2025 Israel Trip – Since people are not comfortable traveling to Israel currently, we are rescheduling the trip to January 2026. You can sign up on the waiting list and we will contact you when specific details are available.
• Marine Biology – The dates for next year are April 17-26, 2025. The cost will be $2250. We have 13 students already registered. So, there are only 12 spots left. Be sure to reserve your spot soon!
• May/June 2025 – Watch for an announcement about a possible adventure to experience the travels of Paul. Another opportunity has become available for the first part of June, so depending on the dates, I may not be able to attend. We will then consider other options.

Position available

Charlotte’s last official day was June 30^th. However, she isn’t moving until the end of July. Therefore, she will be in and out until then helping us make the transition without her. We are really going to miss her!! She will still be working for us remotely. We have hired a young man to handle our social media accounts and edit podcasts. We are still looking for a videographer. If you know anyone who might be interested, please spread the word.

• Please pray that God will raise up someone to meet our need for a ministry vehicle. The one we are currently using is pushing 300K miles and is starting to fall apart from all the rust.
