Evidence for the Resurrection | 49 Minutes

The resurrection is the cornerstone to salvation and the Christian faith. Without Jesus’ resurrection, there is no reconciliation with God and only condemnation for the world. This supernatural event is highly contested and many theories have circulated to attempt to explain the resurrection as a sort of magic trick or organized deception. Do these theories have any grounds from historical, cultural, and archeological evidence? What evidence do we have to ascertain that the resurrection did indeed happen and that it can only be explained by a miracle? Did Jesus resurrect after all?

Pivotal Moment in Time Part 1 – Crucifixion of Jesus | 42 Minutes

Crucifixion was a means of execution

used by many cultures starting with the Assyrians. The Romans adopted crucifixion and turned it into a gruesome art. This lesson describes in detail how Roman crucifixion was performed, what they specifically did to Jesus, and how Jesus died on the cross. There are no visual depictions of crucifixion in this video except for Michael’s audio description but viewer discretion is advised for especially young listeners. Pivotal Moment in Time Part 2 – Resurrection of Jesus | 35 min

After Jesus was illegally condemned and crucified, the Bible says He rose from the grave. The resurrection is the most contested historical event and many claim that it is a fairytale or a trick. However there are logical problems with the skeptic theories. There is also the manner in which the resurrection occurred that follows the legal requirements of acceptable evidence (and especially eyewitness evidence) in a court. Thanksgiving Blessings | 45 Minutes

Happy Thanksgiving!!! How has your year been? It can be hard to see the good things when your year has been filled with heartache, pain, and disaster. Often, we can fall into depression and start to believe that God has abandoned us. This is not what scripture teaches us. Through the examples of scripture and his own personal experience, Michael explains how we can apply scripture to difficult times and find the blessings in the suffering. Hope Turns Into Joy | 31 Minutes

A common phrase you might hear in Christian circles is “God’s timing is not our timing.” It’s not a direct quote from scripture, but there might be reason to consider it. In this special theatrical presentation, we meet the lame man from Acts 3 & 4. Every day he sits at the Beautiful Gate begging for coins until he is healed by Peter and John. What we often miss is that this man is nearly 40 years old! This means he likely saw Jesus come to the Temple during His ministry. Have you ever thought about why Jesus never healed him himself?

EDIT: Michael switched between describing his character as being lame and having leprosy. The man from Acts 3 & 4 did not have leprosy as far as we know. Michael just got a little mixed up in his script 🙂 Please enjoy the presentation regardless.

This was recorded at God’s Gathering Place.

Michael Lane is on a mission this holiday season to guide believers in one question: Why do Christians celebrate Christmas? Christmas According to John | 22 minutes

When most people think of Christmas, they picture a manger, shepherds, and a star. But John gives us a completely different view. He takes us behind the scenes—into eternity itself—to show us why Jesus came. “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” The Word—Jesus—stepped out of heaven and into humanity to redeem us. But to take our place, He had to be sinless. He had to be God. Romans 6:23 reminds us, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
