Training and Transitions

August has been a month of training and transitions. Gabe has begun editing the podcasts and has five ready to go. Charlotte will be previewing them to make sure they are good to go before scheduling them to be published. We have officially hired our 13-year-old granddaughter, Cora, to do the videoing and recording. Charlotte began training her prior to moving and continues to do so remotely. Cora has already recorded three videos and she’s doing a terrific job. Welcome to the E4F team, Cora! We have another young man who we are considering as our video editor. He has been given a video to edit for us so we can see his work firsthand. So, our team is coming together nicely. 😊

There were no live events for E4F this month. However, Denise and I did co-lead one of the “stations” for our church’s VBS. The theme was SCUBA and our station was the Imagination Station where we explored God using science-infused activities and experiments. God, the ocean, and science – all my favorite things! Then I officiated a wedding in Ohio on the eleventh for a young lady who worked for me in the Nature Center at Fort Wilderness. We celebrated our 44^th anniversary on the ninth, so it was a lovely weekend getaway.

Upcoming events & adventures

• 2025 Israel Trip – We are rescheduling the trip to January 2026. You can sign up on the waiting list and we will contact you when specific details are available.
• Marine Biology – The dates for next year are April 17-26, 2025. The cost will be $2250. We have 18 students already registered. So, there are only 7 spots left. Be sure to reserve your spot soon!
• September/October 2025 – Michael and his archaeologist friend, Dr Steve Notley, are in discussion about a possible trip to Greece and Italy to follow the journeys of Paul. Watch for upcoming details.
• September 13-15 – YEAH retreat at Riverside Bible Camp
• September 24-27 – Trail Head @ Forest Springs Camp & Conference Center
• September 28 – MFM Retreat at Fort Wilderness

“He is the God of possible”

For about six months, we have been trusting God to provide us with a new vehicle for our ministry. We have been using our personal vehicle, but it is pushing 300K miles and is badly rusting. We have had a few leads that all fell through. I was going to put the request for a new vehicle out there again, but God chose to answer our prayer before that happened! God moved in someone’s heart to donate their 2007 Suburban to E4F!! He is faithful to do more than we could imagine! Thanks God!!
